In 2001, the greatest civil accident in
Israeli history took place, referred to as the “Versailles Tragedy,” after the
name of the wedding hall in Jerusalem which collapsed during a wedding celebration, causing
the death of 23
guests. Among others, the loss of a young man and woman engaged to be
