Actually, he's been blogging for over a year, but that's how it goes. I met Ken Brown at SBL Boston at the bibliobloggers’ dinner. Just tonight I found the time to visit his thoughtful, orthodox Christian, postmodern blog. He’s quite a wit, he is. Here is an example:
In a comment, a surly agnostic tries to corner Ken: “That's exactly what I mean, how can one not be agnostic?” Ken’s response: “Anon, I suppose we agree; but I'll have to remain agnostic unless you can be more specific.”
I’m always interested in “authority of the Bible” posts, and was impressed by his. In it, he discusses an interesting text, Jeremiah 7:22. I’m not convinced Ken got to the bottom of the difficulty, but he’s right to draw attention to it, and I was appalled by what I found in translations and study Bibles on my shelves.
It’s a good example of how familiarity
with the history of interpretation leads to the consideration of interpretive
options that would otherwise be ignored. It proves how important it sometimes
is to have access to a very good and very thorough scientific commentary. More
on Jer 7:22 in an upcoming post.
It's a fine blog, but what's postmodern?

Hi Steph,
As Ken says, his blog is "a place to explore the links between Christian faith and postmodern culture."
Perhaps if you ask him, he will explore the links with whatever version of postmodernism speaks most winsomely to you.

Wow, thanks for the kind words! I'll look forward to your post on Jer 7:22.
As for "what is postmodern?" It is whatever you want it to be--a catch-all term for a society that hasn't yet figured out what it wants to be.
