Time does not allow me to figure this stuff out, but I noticed the other
day that this blog has two distinct authority ratings: 141 and 167. I don’t
know whether that is good or bad. I do know there are a lot of blogs out there
that are linking to this one, and I don’t have time to follow up on them. That’s
what happens when you have a parish you are responsible for, a 4 year old who
wants to tell you her latest joke (right now, they always seem to have a woman
in them who swallows a cow and then poops; I hope that changes soon), and three
manuscripts, two of them book-length, that you are working on.
ElShaddai Edwards thinks there is
a way to combine the two ratings, but it sounds like work and asking people to
mess around with stuff. Not worth the trouble. Both ratings now show up on the
sidebar to remind me where I’m at in terms of incoming links. The amazing thing
is that since I began blogging on a regular basis less than a year ago, the
blog has been visited over 200,000 times. The average is now about 1,000 hits a
day. But that’s counting everyone checking out my explanation of Posh Spice’s
tattoo, not exactly the focus of this blog.
Come on, John. Delete that Spice Girl post. That's cheating. But it doesn't account for your enviable Technorati score. Some blogs double up like that but you have to only pick one of the scores not add the two.

But I like getting mail from all the Valerias and Samanthas of this world, even if I don't have time to reply.

For whatever reason, they could never get mine working right. It would be in 1000 range one day and in the 100 range the next. I gave up caring.
