The School
of Theology of the University of Zurich,
in collaboration with the Swiss Institute of Rome,
the Waldensian Theological Seminary, and the Pontifical Biblical Institute, is
hosting in Rome an international conference this October 19th-20th entitled:
Beyond Eden: The Bible’s Narration of Paradise in Genesis 2-3 and Its History of Reception
The presenters include well-known names like
Konrad Schmid, Christoph Riedweg, Michael and Nira Stone, Hermann Spieckermann,
Michael Signer, Rüdiger Bittner, Thomas Krüger, and Jean-Louis Ska; rising
stars like Terje Stordalen and Laura Nasrallah; and top-notch Waldensian
scholars like Daniele Garrone and Emidio Campi.
The focus of the conference is noteworthy: the holistic interpretation of Genesis 2-3, with the historical-critical, historical-theological, and history of interpretation dimensions receiving the most attention.
Is anyone going to that? I can't figure out the price from the programme

It's probably free, Phil. If you plan to go and need lodging, I can ask around.

That's very kind of you! If I find out it's free I may well seriously think about it. It's only a seven hour drive from Bonn.

It is free. That's how these things work in Italy. But 7 hours? You are a speed demon.
