If you are a visual learner, you will love these maps. The graphics are outstanding. This one traces the imperial history of the Middle East. I was disappointed it devotes little attention to the early history of empires: the thing needs to be redone with the help of some ANE specialists. But it is very cool just the same.
This one traces the history of expansion of the world’s major religions. It needs to be modified to account better for religions with a far-flung diaspora. HT: Ray Fowler, who has a great blog.
Hi John,
Thanks for the hat tip. I just spent some time cruising your blog, and you have some great material here.
We support a missionary family in Italy - Tom and Laura Caldbeck working on church planting through Avant missions. They are in Anzola dell'Emilia (BO). I don't know if that is near where you are or not.
God bless you and your wife with your plant, too!

Hi Ray,
Paola and I are serving in Wisconsin right now. I wonder if the Caldbecks know Richard Wilson or his Bibbia Blog.
God bless you in your ministry.
