“I kept thinking about a famous passage from Christopher Lasch, the great social critic and historian who died in 1994 -- before the rise of the Web. In the Revolt of the Elites he said we learn more from argument than from information, not because opinions are weightier than facts, but because to argue for your ideas (in public) puts those ideas at risk. And that is how we learn.” – Jay Rosen
That’s why I blog: because I want to put my ideas at risk, and I want to learn. Most people, I realize, prefer the other way.
Hey, thanks.

First, thank you for your great blog. I check it almost every evening.
I agree with you on why I blog, so I wrote a short text about it on my blog (in Swedish). I hope it was OK.

Stefan,
One of the great things about biblical blogdom is that a community is taking shape that cuts across many of the usual barriers.
I only wish my Swedish (and Dutch, Portugese, and so on) was better than it is.
